Meet the Marker Hunters: They’re Hooked on History, UFOs included

They commemorate the bizarre – a UFO incident – or the forgotten – the site of a Native American mine. Historical markers dot New England’s landscapes. For some people, finding them, documenting them and sharing them with others is an obsession. And some of those markers become controversial, like the monument commemorating a purported UFO encounter in the western Massachusetts community of Sheffield.
